Children

ShaneShané is 13 years old and is in grade 8, coping very well with High school. Last year when I achieved such amazing results on with the Wellness IQ programme, I decided to start her on the programme as well.

Shané was not a child who could sit in class-after-class at school and keep her concentration levels up. When she got home she had no energy left to sit and do homework or study. She was also didn’t eat breakfast every morning and as a mother, this has always concerned me, especially when she was writing an exam at 8am. She would often get home and tell me that at about 9am she felt shaky and dizzy and was unable to concentrate or even write properly.

After starting her on this Wellness Programme her concentration improved immediately and by the end of the year her marks had improved so much that she received an honours certificate for excellence in 3 subjects! I have been so grateful for the programme during the first term of High school, as she doesn’t have enough hours in a day to do everything that is expected of her! She has maintained her marks, and has enough energy to do 6 hours of school, another 2 hours of sport, homework and studying and can still sit with us in the evening and tell us (enthusiastically) about her day! It is also easier to get her up in the mornings!

I’m so grateful for the positive impact this Wellness Programme has had on my daughter!

DillonFrom mid 2007 when Dillon was in Grade 2, he was not coping as well as the rest of the kids in his class.  We took him to a Language Therapist and an Occupational Therapist who both confirmed that he was performing under his age.  His reading and writing was delayed by almost 9 months and he was battling with concentration and his Auditory analysis and synthesis was about a year behind what is accepted for his age.

He started receiving therapy. During this time it was casually mentioned to us that we should consider putting him on Ritalin and that he would have to go to a special school for children with learning disabilities.  We definitely saw improvement in him from his therapy – but the best was yet to come.  We told the school that we would not put him on Ritalin or send him to a special school.

So in Sept ‘07, Dillon went onto this wellness programme!  It is now 6 months later, he is performing above what is expected!  His Occupational Therapy came to an end, Dec ‘07 as his therapist said he no longer needs it!  We had a meeting with his Class teacher a few days ago, and she had not one negative thing to say about him.  All she could say was ‘he is one of her above average students in the class’.  We can see a huge difference in how he copes on a daily basis, his concentration is perfect and to do homework with him is a pleasure.

Because of this programme he is now full of energy and loves going to school!
