How do you achieve optimum health and well-being? (3)

I want to stay with the body but this time focus on our image and thoughts about our bodies. As we strive to improve our health and overall wellness we often have the wrong image in our minds of what we would like to achieve. We look at the mirror and what do we see? Our current image, body shape and expression on our faces (which often portrays the way we feel, our energy levels and mood). Now if you are not happy with the image in the mirror and you feel negative emotions while you absorb this image – you are immediately sending a message to your body that you are not satisfied with this image (this is ok as you are now aware of the fact that you would like to change but you can’t dwell here for very long). Negative emotions and thoughts have a direct destructive impact on your whole body. When you start in this manner for the rest of the day these thoughts will mull over in your mind creating a very depressing, negative image of yourself.

So how do we change this negative image? I found this picture and the solution lies in this picture. How we see ourselves and how we feel about what we see is far more important than our current body shape, energy levels and overall health. So the next time you look in the mirror and you notice something about your body that doesn’t please you, acknowledge the fact that you are in the process of changing that and then immediately start seeing yourself the way you would like to it be. You literally have to become the image of what you would like to achieve. Wipe the frown off your face, and put a smile on your face as you see the new improved, healthy, energetic, firm body that you already possess.

This is such an exciting exercise to do – have fun with it and you will be amazed at how quickly your self-esteem improves and your imaginary body becomes your current reflection in the mirror.
